Thanks for the comments on the nepalese puppets. Sorry I am not quick on the responses, but I am a working stiff  the present time and I am not on the computer every single day. I will keep looking into some of these traditions.

Another tradition I am interested in is the Ticuna tribe in South America they use puppets and a full body mask made of tree bark in a ritual that allows the girls in the tribe to pass through puberty. They emerge from this embryonic ritual as a woman.
