This fall we found some really powerful magnets at Joanne's but they don't say "rare earth magnets". We tested them against the expensive rare earth magnets and they seemed to perform just as well. Does anyone have experience with the Joanne knock offs? They cost about 1/3 the price of ordering rare earth magnets on the internet. My experience has been that anything fake from Joanne's or "any big box store" is not a bargin after a while. I use rare earth ones and sheet metal on my playboard. Have also used magnetic paint. That is only good with rare earth magnets.
