Puca Puppets, an Irish puppet company did CORALINE with Bunraku-type puppets in 2006. See the next issue of Puppetry Journal and a new book, "CORALINE: A Visual Companion" by Stephen Jones (a photo of the Irish show is included) Japanese artist Tadahiro Uesugi did a lot of concept art for CORALINE. The piano used by Coraline's dad is a Tadahiro brand---a little inside joke in the movie. -----Original Message----- From: Pixie Moss Sent: Thursday, February 5, 2009 7:26 PM To: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Coraline and Neil Giaiman He does ?
