Leland is from the Tony Montanaro "school" of mime. He sort of comes
from a different place. I think he knew Jay Marshall from a magic and
vaudville angle. He is a new vaudvillian sort of performer but uses
hand shadow and also origami and magic in his work and mime of course.
I don't know why he is not a member. Maybe I can entice him in.
You can see him as others can at the Ojai (CA) storytelling festival
in April www.villageoftales.org/tellers.html It a lovely festival
with top notch storytellers. Donald Davis is fantastic as is Carmen
Deedy who I mentioned on another thread. You can buy tickets to
individual events.

I didn't mean to come off pooh poohing P of A. " he's brilliant" was
a second thought . Only meant that for some reason he never joined or
if he did I never knew it. I have the highest regard for P of A and
it is my roots and where I learned my craft through festivals and
members. I keep trying to get Mathieu to join. Maybe we should take
up a collection.
