Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Paper casting contacts?

Ouch,

Gregory,
I see that even among puppeteers, paper mache is still underestimated, and
generalized.
I know it's from lack of proper background info and experience, and because
it is misunderstood.

I was about to jump onto my soapbox and start defending the virtues of paper
mache, but one-I have no soapbox and would have to find or make one, and
two- 2 puppets are meant to be partially born tonight, so I have to focus on
them.
And groceries.
And laundry.

Yikes!

So, I'll soon write an article about real quality paper mache, and explain
why it remains the most versatile medium that can benefit most visual arts.
I'll explain how I first started by hating it for 20 years, then came to be
its biggest fan.

I'll still use other mediums when they are more appropriate in their
properties, but there are plenty of reasons why most of my puppets and masks
are made of, or contain paper mache.
