Hello folks,

Have you ever heard the concept that the Golden Rule is flawed. 

It is actually not compassionate to do unto others as you would have them do unto you because they are not you and would have different preferences than you.  Anyway this notion of doing unto is rather oppressive in and of itself.

I've heard in business circles, show people respect in the manner they understand and want not in the manner you understand and want.

Of course there would have to be a learning curve as how in the world would anyone know what the other prefers without first communicating about it.

And then there is always the fact that many people actually want what is not good for them and then in that case what is your duty to them if your goal is to be compassionate.
