They have their own world, and their own bible puppet suppliers, such as _http://www.thepuppetstore.com_ (http://www.thepuppetstore.com) , and _http://www.puppetuniverse.com_ (http://www.puppetuniverse.com) .They are not normally doing it for money-- which to my mind is where the real competition lies. But the competitions make them stay on their toes. If we don't stay on our toes, who wants to hire us? Much in the same way, I used to belong to the Society for Creative Anachronism, which always had competitions in the arts. For a few years, that was enough, until I realized that the real world was much more competitive and was more than ready to stomp you into oblivion if you did not deliver. Real live theater is a tightwire act where at any time something can go wrong. Cheers, Alice In a message dated 2/2/2009 5:55:27 P.M. Then he told me how he used to compete with his church puppet team. Somehow I believe puppetry is more than competition. It is theater. It is storytelling......I guess I just can't see competition as being a part of it. Can anyone shed any light on why?
