The chin should be shallower than a man's and the face should narrow down to the chin in a perfect curve. My first attempt at a pretty girl turned out looking like a female coach. After having her laughed at by the audience, I worked the chin back and narrowed the jaw; then enhanced the lip. At least the audience accepted her afterwards for the semblance of a pretty girl. She enjoyed a long and productive life. Now I've replaced her head with a carved one. I've gotten much better since I made her first incarnation, after doing a few angels and a series of one character who ages from young girl to married woman to old wife. No argument, though, that carving a beautiful girl is difficult. Interesting, though, that many women artists seem to have trouble executing a young male who does not look rather feminine. However, I have now found that if I just make the eyes large and high, the nose lower down with a flattened bridge and nearer the mouth, I can fairly predictably get a pretty feminine character. I do mostly fantasy, faerie creatures too. I just change up the details a bit., eye colr, hair, skin color..ect.. ~Pixie -- Enchanted Gypsy ~ Travel Diaries http://www.enchantedgypsy.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org **************Great Deals on Dell Laptops.
