For songwriting you might want to send out the challenge to the folk musicians of New England, there are many. Last year WUMB, folk radio 91.9fm (streams on the web) had a contest to write songs that would fit the Big REad--To Kill a Mockingbird, a CD of those winners is almost completed. TEACHING tolerance organization, (www.teachingtolerance.org) has a number of kits that followed the curriculum standards and are just what you are looking for. I just got my 2 kits this week. Would anyone out there have views, poem, stories or ideas of how to convey diversity (being a good thing) to children? Thanks everyone.
