Not only did I ask him about masks, but I also helped him organize a mask movement workshop here in Montreal last June. It lasted only two days, but what days they were! Very satisfying. He was able to include so much in such a short time, without it ever feeling rushed. We also got to try his very expressive method of making masks with burlap and methyl cellulose. You can see pretty well through those, so no need for eye holes! But don't use them in darker lighting conditions. His own performance masks are Neoprene. He did one of his mask numbers (from the show ANIMAN) for us, and it was completely entrancing, mind boggling, and brain tickling. He is also a very cool, very kind person. It was a pleasure to have the chance to learn with him. The group had only praises for him. Never hesitate to contact him if you need a mask workshop. I think he might be an occasional lurker here. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
