Yes, there are some folks who can write, direct, act, >design and build but those are the exceptions. Mary on the whole I would agree with you, however it has been my experience that most puppeteers are Jack or Jill's of all trades. They almost have to become that way or do they? I would extend your point to say, how many us fix our own home repairs? How many us build a web site with out hiring a professional web person to do so? How many create they own animations and graphics? How many change their own flat tire, with out hiring a tow truck driver? And so on. Ok, and here is the big one, how many think that knowledge should be free? I would dare say these are not just Western thoughts. I think they are human. I would ask that each one of to reflect on one point. Do we horde our needs? Or do we reach out an support each other and the community by trading in skills or monetary value? I think we have become our own survivalist as if we where living on the frontier. We say, "I must do it all myself." Instead of saying, "I need the help of others." Just some rambling thoughts, William _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
