Delta Airlines was the worst domestic airline I have encountered lately. I just stay off Delta. I need to go to SeRbia in May,, and Delta is most convenient, BUT I REFUSE TO PAY THEM ONE MORE DIME!!! Were they the ones you makke that count as correct size? I carry 3 boxes all under 50 lbs and only one over size and additional although many airlines are allowing only one piece of baggage. Is this excess baggage fee of thousands of dollars an ongoing price structure? If so I would have no problem taking my air tours elsewhere. I don't do a lot of airtouring but at least 3 times a year or more. I usually expect to pay $180-250 one way. In Mexico they had an embargo on any excess baggage going out of Mex. city. They didn't tell me on the way in. It was a bribe that got my extra box on the plane. They initiated the bribe. I thought I would have to ship the extra box home at 3am in mexico city airport. I was quite relieved to be relieved of the bribe $ to get the box home. It makkes me wonder why people tour abroad at all. I hear so many horror stories. But Jim, that is aweful $2500. highway robbery! This past December I was booked in Florida, and since living in CA, I flew on DELTA Airlines...I expected to pay a bit extra for excess baggage as on previous trips, and was charged a reasonable $450 for the trip LA to PMI (West Palm Beach) BUT DELTA charged me $2500 for excess baggage on next day's return, because "they raised their prices that day!" Even though I argued that they could have told me in advance they were raising prices, DELTA had no sympathy...and I had no option but to pay........... PAY through the NOSE, I thought! Bottom lline: Don't believe anything DELTA AIRLINES tells you.....They are Bottom in service, bottom in empathy, and a lousy airline as far as I am concerned....and I'll tell the world, if you want to listen....So I'm spreading the word, DO NOT TRUST DELTA AIRLINES, BOYCOTT THEM IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.......JIM GAMBLE > > > > Bob N. > Bobseyeview.com > > > > ************** > Feeling the pinch at the grocery store?
