That's 40 million times one million dollars, which is 40 million million,
which equals 40 trillion (40,000,000,000,000).

40,000,000 x 1,000,000  (just add all the zeroes)

But a nearly one-trillion-dollar stimulus package distributed equally to
every US citizen (ah, why not include green card holders, too) would provide
over $10,000 to the average family. Even that would probably end up buying
lots of cars and making lots of down payments on houses.
