Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Full-head Portrait Mask and Puppet Head

thanks for the comments, Hobey.

And thanks very much for the links.
I had only seen one picture of Doug Berky's works (him in the middle of many
masks), years ago, and could not find anymore online at the time. I'm glad
to see more!

I had not seen Micheal Cooper's works in a while, thanks for reminding me.
I love his bulldog mask!

One of my all-time favorite maskmaker and performer is Larry Hunt.
He came to Montreal last June to give a short mask movement workshop. It was
a blast.
And the "Animan" excerpt he performed for us shall be an inspiration for the
rest of my life.
He's a great person. Something tells me you two would get along famously
Something about the kind of vibes you broadcast, I guess.

For about three years, I have not really been concentrating on masks, since
I made so many puppets, although I made at least one mask a year, for
Halloween or some other thing.
I need it!

I've been missing the focus I once put on maskmaking. I want to create more
extravagant masks, some more subtle, vary the scale a lot, and do more
articulations in them (my full-head skull mask has articulated jaw). Thanks
to my puppetmaking activities, I now have the skills and knowedge, with the
technical solutions required to build almost any mask I want.
