Schwartz Atually there were subtle changes in some o9f Bruce's puppet work. When he first did "The Letter" it was just the ex lover getting a dismissive letter from her artist- lover. In later versions it had more irony or a touch of "yeah, sure". -----Original Message----- From: Robert Rogers Sent: Friday, March 27, 2009 4:53 AM To: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Subject: [Puptcrit] Bruce D. Schwartz I saw Bruce D. Schwartz perform several times at the Dance Theater Workshop in downtown NYC. He gave midnight performances. There was something mesmerizing about his work, but also very sad - or maybe forlorn. Having seen the same vignettes a few times, I noticed that he used the same specific gestures for his characters every time. That took practice!
