I agree that "including audience" is a good idea. One of the appeals of puppetry & its history is that it is a microcosm---a view of the world on a smaller scale as a rule (allowing for exceptions of giant puppets). The letter is not only about puppeteers' livelihood in tough times, it's about how puppetry can change the lives of those who see it.
