recent  Chinese Theatre Works/Bread and Puppet tour to Taiwan, Peter  
Schumann  made a swazzle horn out of one such reed attached to a  
liter- sized  plastic soda bottle with its bottom trimmed off. Swazzle  
Horn Components: $6.50 + 250 calories.
Effect in Performance: priceless.

I remember the swazzle horn!
Can you tell me about the little noisemaker that he worked back and  
forth with his hand?
