George's book has been misnamed by Dover. The original title is 'Puppetry: The Complete Disguise' which is marvelously appropriate because it is intended for theatre students. As for glove-puppet patterns there are so many, and like marionette controls there are many favorites. It's comfortable and shows how to get that nice 3 point comfort for your hand - no baggy puppet, perfect fit. I've been using it for years. I think the book is only $15 and worth the money in my opinion.
