It was a fun show to perform but as with black light shows we'd ask
for darkeness and not always get it.  One time they actually were
ready for us and as I introduced the show out front, they hit the
lights and it was so dark it took me several minutes to find my way
into my stage and find the lights.  From then on I have always carried
a flashlight in my pocket. We had several geodesic spheres which when
we spun would strobe off the 60 cycle black lights.  We also had
something like those toy hoberman spheres, but ours was 4 ft in
diameter and it looked like  a sea urchin until we threw it into the
air and it expanded into a beautiful sphere.  We used Bucky Fuller's
method of surgical tubing vertice joints.  He used them to join
dowells into polyhedron to feel the dynamics of different  shapes.  I
still use the method to gather rods on some foamies with multiple rods
and make them easy to grab.  I can share the technicque if there is
interest.  It invoves threading the tubing crosswise through a second
section of tubing. Some vertice had as many a 6 ends to joint at one
joint.  At any rate Teachers loved the show because it turned a rather
dry subject like geometry into an art spectacle.
Unfortunately wecouldn't get Highschools to bite.  When they did they loved it.
