I seem to like monitor powered speakers. I used to use a Yahmah ms60. It was 
excellent.
But for the past several years I use a fender 1270p

For a mixer liked the small sam ash ones until last year when they seemed to 
start breaking down quickly. Lately have been using a Behringer and have 
been happy with it.  For me the smaller the better. I need inputs for 2 
mics, a music source and aux. Like the atm75 for my wired mic and have been 
using a samson wireless for the wireless one.....

The fender has an up angle so in a bouncy room I do put it on the floor.

My system is surely not an audophiles delight but it seems to work very well 
for me.
