The Jay Ward comparison is apt, but it's also important to remember that Jay
Ward was well in to his career when he did Rocky and Bullwinkle. He had
worked on Beany and Cecil (few people realize Jay loved puppets and always
trying to sell puppet shows to TV networks) and then did Crusader Rabbit a
decade before Rocky and Bullwinkle hit the air. I do think with Jay Ward as
much as anyone, the 10 year rule still applies.

I do absolutely agree with what you said about not waiting for the medium to
grow up. While I don't want to say too much about it on the list yet, I've
been working with several other people on something recently and a lot of
our discussions have revolved around how to best work within the limitations
of doing low-budget web video. It's an interesting challenge.
