I remember sitting there just amazed thinking my God mistakes happen in a Bil Baird show my God their human too. wow! But seriously Susan I loved the show. Earlier that week Mary Susan Macrae and I were walking by the stage as you were taking a break and there was Miranda and the little boy and I said to Mary Susan? the earliest memory of Television I have was seeing the fishbone wishbone scene on the Ed Sullivan Show in Black and White and Mary Susan turned to me and said me too with a tear rolling down her cheek. God Bless Bil Cora and Peter master showman all.

By the way the next night in during The Adding Machine?I sent Mister Zero off to his re birth [ via a huge burst of flash powder] about a page and half of dialouge too soon. OOPS!

You had to bring up that memory. Mistakes always seem to be made in
front of other puppeteers. Yes, I was the puppeteer doing
Miranda. While in the chest, one of her strings got wedged around a
hinge. Nothing I could do would free her. I don't know if the
other puppeteers were just letting my suffer :-P, but they were just
saying their lines as if nothing was wrong. Finally Peter Baird had
his puppet push the chest to the side of the stage, where our stage
manager was able to free the string. Of course, I felt totally
embarrassed, but that's show biz...
