Congratulations, Conrad. I have been following your process with much
interest.

What are you going to use for the puppet eyes?
Are you going realistic, or simplified?

Black or dark brown glass marbles often give a wonderfully alive gaze that
works perfectly with stylised puppets like yours. If no glass marbles can be
found, painted wooden beads, dipped in high gloss varnish (counter top epoxy
is best for me so far, but nail polish works nice too for small eyes).

I haven't been able to make super realistic eyes work right for stage
puppets. It seems the simpler eye motifs, with or without iris (and if iris,
should be simple), are best.

For film, photo realistic glass or plastic eyes can work nice, for some
reason.
