Oops- I meant to delete part of the posting before transmitting it to puptcrit. My apologies for that error.

Yesterday I got up at 6:30 a.m., drove 140 miles to a Sicilian Street Fair, had problems getting past uninformed "guards" at the entry to closed-off streets, so was unable to set up 16 Sicilian puppets before the public came into the street fair at 10 a.m. Finishing the installation was delayed because visitors wanted to ask about the puppets before they were all installed.
At least they could see them laid out on a table prior to being supended. But if I'd been allowed in when I had arrived, the installation would have been complete at 10 a.m.

One odd incident--I asked a guard where Beech Street was? She did not know. So I pointed to the street sign--she was standing on Beech Street. She was not a fount of info.

The festa was an interesting event, the puppets contributed information new to many festa visitors.

One visitor had done music with both Bread & Pupets and with the Manteo Sicilian Puppet Shows in NYC.

Anoher visitor went to my high school.

The Fair ended up a 6 p.m. and getting my car near the display area, while complicated, was smoother than it was at the start of the day, and I left with loaded car at 7:45 p.m.

On the way home I stopped for a couple of hours to see a friend of many decades, who I had not seen in 4 years. I don't get to that neighborhood so often these days.

Upshot, I got to bed at 3 a.m. today. My afternoon nap was interrupted by a phone call, so I am still not fully rested.

All I can do is apologize for accdentally including private e-mails with my posting.

Once again I plead temporay insanity.

Alan
