I lay them on foil in the grill to dry off while the fish is grilling then when I turn the salmon, I throw them into the charcoal and use the foil to lay the fish on to smoke. A little butter melted on the fish is good too. My buddy has been making solar ovens by glueing milar into discarded 18" satellite dishes. The problem is that they are too hot to cook with. Actually they can pit a cast iron pot. 2009/5/23 Mathieu René <creaturiste-AT-primus.ca>: > Thanks Hobey, for the recipe. > What do you do with the water soaked maple or alder chips? > I assume you use them for the smoke flavor, but how do you do that > specifically? > > Indeed, on the road, time is short, and unless you're in an RV, you don't > have the kitchen supplies. > But one could bring a solar oven and attach it on top of the car, so that > dinner can cook while you're driving, or even when your' parking.
