I'll be making a pendant or a brooch for a customer very soon, and am wondering what sort of varnish would be best to protect it. I'm planning to make it in a very refined sort of paper mache strips. The information I get here would also be useful for future puppet products I'm developping for selling. So far, none of the acrylic spray sealers I tried would be strong enough to fit my criterias. I'd rather use a spray, for ease of use, and nicer finish than painted on. Also, I need the protective finish to be non-toxic, and impervious to alcohol. I'd prefer a matte varnish, but if something like epoxy is what is needed, I can go for a "glazed" look. .What would you reccomend? .Which (if any) of the following are non toxic once fully cured? Are they going to "yellow" over time? -epoxy counter top varnish (like Nu-lustre 55 or Envirotex lite) -Polyuerethane (like Flecto Varathane) Thanks! _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
