Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Creating Ocean Waves for Shadow Puppet Show?

I post very infrequently, but I've done some real nice water effects
with 'ripple' or 'water' glass from a stained glass store. If you take
two round pieces (I used 16" octagons, b/c it's what I could cut) and
overlap and rotate them. Shining a light through the overlap can make
really effective projected water effects. Adjusting the rotation
directions and speed can get different effects. If you want to project
the shapes, clear glass will work. I used light blue glass and projected
on the ceiling of an art installation. It look as though the light were
reflected off a pond or lake/ocean.

Good luck - I love lighting effects :)

Kind Regards,
Dave
