There will always be bad circumstances and situations where someone feels taken advantage of. But internships- as designed- are not jobs. They are a form of schooling where each side is supposed to get something. The teacher gets labor and the student gets training and/ or experience. The student intern may also gain valuable contacts through the experience. It's an important system for those on both sides of the equation and a time-honored shouldn't be maligned in general. I'm sure some individuals had bad experiences, though perhaps their expectations were unrealistic and inappropriate. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
