Hi Pixie!

Your banshee is wonderful! I have been making needle felted puppets for quite awhile. Do you have any books on basic puppet construction? Any style of puppet can be constructed by needle felting, except perhaps shadow puppets. Hmmmm. Maybe I could felt shadow puppets! I'll have to give that a try. Anyways, the movement basics are the same, whether you are constructing from paper mache, polyfoam (my felted puppets have a polyfoam core), wood, or whatever.

I'm glad you ended up with a rod puppet for your banshee rather than a moving mouth puppet. Puppets that express thoughts and ideas with more movement that words are much more interesting to watch!
