I found this book at Borders and have read through most of it.

Very interesting book on the process of making monsters

"Papier-Mache Monsters: Turn Trinkets and Trash into Mangnificent  
Monstrosities" by Dan Reeder published by Giibbs Smith

There are a lot of ways to texture that I found very interesting.
