The conversation about Giant  Puppet is a reminder that TRADITION is a better word than RIPOFF.

Even the Bohemian Grove in California got into the act with a giant marionette operated from the top of a tall tree.

And what about parallel giantism in sculpture---those big pop art enlargements of common objects like ironing boards and headache bags.

Remo Bufano's giant CLOWN for Billy Rose's "JUMBO on BROADWAY, or blowup giant balloons in Sid & Marty Krofft Fair or Amusement Park shows---its all related.  

Just don't try a live production of KING KONG with finger puppets. It won't have the impact.
