In the UK where they have socialized medicine people pay almost the
same in taxes as here in the US.  The difference is that what they
spend on health care from their tax dollars is about what we spend on
the military here and that is the difference.  Th UK has a miniscual
amount of money going toward defense in comparison to the US.  So the
price of being a superpower is paying for bombs instead of medicine.
Why don't we switch it around and have medicine paid for by taxes and
the bombs be financed though charity.
