Subject: [Puptcrit] U.S Health Care System problems


Isn't it iteresting that a current political snow storm over health care in the U.S. is also something that directly affects puppeteers and other artists who rarely get compensated as richly as CEOs like Madoff, the heads of Ford Motor Co & General Motors and other rip-off artists. 

When puppeteer Ruth Duncan (Tatterman Marionettes) was healthy she planned to leave all the remaining Tatterman puppets to me for preservation, along with her home in Santa Fe, New Mexico as a smallpuppet museum.

When she suddenly faced health problems and went into a hospital, she got good care, food and daily therapy for 30 days. The 31st day, the therapy ended and the food ended.

Ultimately she had to sell her home, and sold the puppets to me (wiping out my small bank account), then had to rent a room in her old house until she died.

Sarah Palin is an idiot when it comes to real information on healh care, not to menion her major ignorance about sex-ed in schools (her daughter could have benefitted) and just about EVERYTHING ELSE. 

The sad thing is that this kind of ignorance is harmful to puppeteers.
