I raised 2 pet pigs as a pre-teen.
They were smart or smarter than any of my dogs.
Very affectionate, very funny, very lovable, very clean (they have no  
sweat glands, hence mud to stay cool).
They deserved a swimming pool (which they would have loved).
My parents gave them to me with the intention of the two providing  
meat for our family.
I was not told of this.
When they were killed and butchered I was enraged.
I refused to eat any of the meat.
