It might come in handy also for a squirrel hand puppet I am starting tomorrow. I have just machine-washed my synthetic fur in hot water with a splash of bleach, using the Heavy Wash setting, and already the fur has nice natural strands and much less shine to it, without looking dull. It's exactly the look I was after. It's in the dryer right now. I'm keeping an eye on it, to make sure it doesn't melt. Thank you so much, Stefano! Can we see your puppets on a website? > > often i wash the fur in hot water several times with a pinch of bleach to > take out the brightness. then dry it on high or medium depending on the > fabric. then i take thinning sheers and snip at it randomly and it gives a > great distressed look. you should test the bleach and dryer parts with a > swatch of the fabric. > stefano _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
