Subject: [Puptcrit] PADY BLACKWOOD


Like everyone else in the puppet world I am saddened by the death of  
Pady Blackwood.  I first met him when I was 21 and he was 18.  He had  
just arrived in NYC from Kansas - and was thrilled to be working with  
the old SUZARI troupe touring all over the place doing what he loved  
most - puppeteering.  He was an all around puppeteer - a master  
builder, costumer and perhaps one of the most creative marionette  
manipulators I have ever seen.   He was also the kindest person I have  
ever known - always encouraging new emerging puppeteers.  He had a  
wicked sense of humor and the times we visited together were always  
filled with laughter.

Bye Pady, I'll miss you
