The one thing I have a problem with is that these very human voices coming from the creatures makes a huge disconnect in terms of letting go and getting into it. I don't like that about alot of voice over work with this sort of thing. They spend tens of thousands to make these unhuman costumes and then they give them perfectly normal human voices, granted all fine actors, but it just seems odd. When ET talked or Yoda, they had wonderful character voices. It begs the question again about actor vs puppeteer. Any decent puppeteer would match the feel of the creature with a suitable voice. But then I haven't seen the movie only the trailors and PR.
