Subject: [Puptcrit] Foam Puppet hair grafting?

Hi all,

I'm finishing a new foam puppet today and tomorrow, and can't seem to make
hair grafting work for my needs.
The classic tip of using a fork-like device to punch hair into the "skin" of
a puppet or art doll doesn't work for me. The hair looks great, but the
slightest brushing against it will pull the hair off.
I tried dipping the loaded grafting tool (needle with top of eye cut off) in
glue, but all it does is stiffen the entry point, without adding much
friction. The hair still pulls off.

I'm using thick sewing thread, or fishing line, for the puppet I'm using
right now.
I want to punch it through a fuzzy fabric and into the stiff polyfoam
sculpted body.

Much appreciated!
