FOX "Wallace & Grommit" and "Chicken Run" from Aardman had a a British sense of humour in the puppet movements---just the mouth animation alone was a distinctive style. In "Fantastic Mr. Fox", the puppet design and animation has it own style, yet it too strikes me as very British. Wes Anderson immersed himself in the background of the story, becoming part of the world of the book. It paid off. "The Making of Fantastic Mr. Fox" is a great addition to any puppeteer's library---it really tells the preparations for how the movie was made. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
