there is quite an assortment of hand trucks.  I think the one that will work
best for you will be determined by how you can box your puppets, lighting,
sound and stage.  I would think you would want to use bungee cords to hold
the stack of boxes on the hand truck, perhaps with a cargo type netting
between the bungee cords to keep things from shifting going up or down
stairs or around corners.
