I used to Ronnie Burkett formula in Class  --half walpaper paste and half white glue.  We also used brown paper towels and had very nice heads.

aving sifted through all the suggestions of Papier Mache  techniques I was 
nable to find one that mentioned brown paper, as in wrapping  paper, and 
earl glue or as its also known  size. I was taught this by  Lindy Wright at 
he Little Angel Theatre London.
ize glue has to be heated in a bain marie and smells  rather strong. But 
ou won't find a hardier papier mache  method.  The finished article becomes 
ock hard because of the  nature of the glue. However if you are vegan then 
his is not for  you.
