Loading in shows has been the bane of puppeteers for a long time. It can be tricky installing puppet exhibits too---especially going through airport security for exhibits in airports. The systems in force tend to be inflexible and not particularly intelligent. Architecture plays a role.

Touring puppet shows are a lot like being in the moving van & storage business. In fact here in greater Los Angeles, one troupe aptly named themselves L.A. Moving Van & Puppet Company, as they toured parks & schools.

There is so much glamour to touring show biz---like schlepping lots of stuff, sweeping & mopping floors, sweating during the performance in the spotlight, then hitting the road to do it all over at the next stop. But you gotta admit it keeps most performers' egos humble. Call it honest perspectve.
