I'm no expert but it doesn't look like a very good example to me. It's not so much a Bunraku figure as a doll meant for display, who knows what they mean by "large." The carving looks quite crude - look at the mangled space between the nostrils and upper lip and the awkward transition between the bridge of the nose and the forehead. Their are also small tears in the wood around the nose, seen easily with the jagged ochre outline, as if the chisel wasn't sharp enough. The face as a whole looks unmodulated and the feet and hands are also very basic.
