Does it seem that all schools want you to load in your "Puppet Stuff" through the most inconvenient entrance in the school? Do other share this problem? Today we performed at a school with the auditorium located in the middle of the building. Though the room had exits out the back to a paved playground that was connected to the parking lot, the school personnel wanted us to load in through one whole wing of the school. (WHAT!!!!)They were actually shocked when I asked that instead of dragging our van-full of equipment through the halls of the building we just load in through the back doors. We did finally get our way but it took 2 no actually 3 people to give the OK. I know schools are very structured in how they do thing but come on this situation is a "no brainer". My advice to all is always look at your performance area before bringing in any equipment. In looking back on this I think I am coming across alot more ticked-off then I really am, it's that this stuff can really bug me. Thanks for listen to my soapbox.
