In the 1960s Rene Zendejas built a foam rubber car puppet for a local TV commnercial for a Chevy dealer. The old-fashioned car  bumper (silver lame over foam strips) was the "mouth", headlights had animated eyeballs. I think the car sang the dealer's musical jingle as it "rolled down the road"
