Subject: [Puptcrit] Yale School of Drama - Harry Burnett

It was because Harry Burnett attended the Yale School of Drama, and was performing marionettes too, under the title "Students of Yale" that the company was soon shortened to "The Yale Puppeteers". The basic Yale Puppeteers group was Harry, Forman Brown & Roddy Burnett, to the end of their lives. Bob Bromley worked with them in the early 1930s on Olvera Street.

Dorothy Neuman, a partner of Turnabout Theater (begun 1941) was another student at Yale Drama School, where she met Harry.

I am pretty sure Meyer Levin did a marionette movie in Hollywood with Blanding Sloan, using Black marionette characters including an updated vrsion of "Rastus"..
