I was trained in Quark (Xpress) while studying Graphic Design in the 90s.
It was brain-numbing and quite an ordeal, too many possibilities of messing 
up.
Hopefully, they solved all this in more recent versions.


But if you are used to laying out in Photoshop, the learning curve for an 
actual publishing layout software is quite steep.

I love Photoshop, so that's what I'm sticking to nowadays.
