The name Flabbergasted has a rich history dating back to the age of the
Teutonic Knights (pronounced by the Gaulic Flaubergastonet precursors to our
modern "Flabbergasted", "twoo-Tohnic", referring either to this Orders
penchant for wearing complementary heraldic colors or their late afternoon
"pick me ups" preceding the dinner hour).

Originally, Flaubergastonet from the the escargot and Beaujolais region of
Cooqin France, one might also find related family patronomics in
Flaubert-Gaston-et- (a Canadian variant found in the early nineteenth
century in Newfoundland where they became lost whilst traveling from Iceland
to Panama City by way of the northern route).

Flabbergasted, I believe, refers to a story regarding the family name source
of the progenitor whose distinct lack of battle prowess was thought to be
caused either by a condition of overweight or lack of stamina (hence
"short-windedness").
