Speaking of well know titles like "Cinderella," the title that has received the most citations is "Beauty and the Beast" 4 of them Dick Myers, Paul Vincent-Davis, Terry Snyder, and David Syrotiak (Beauty and the Beast is a French tale, so this indicates undue influence by the UNIMA headquarters in Charleville) I AM KIDDING Russian composers did well too, 2 versions of Peter and the Wolf, 2 versions of Firebird and 2 versions of Petrushka received Citations. (the popularity of Russian composers indicates undue influence of eastern Europe) I AM KIDDING No citations awarded to Jarry's Ubu (not kidding) I just checked the UNIMA-USA web site. For the past 10 year period about half the citations went to adult shows and about half went to childrens or family shows. The unplanned mix varies every year For 2009 6 family shows won citations and 2 adult shows. 2008 was split half and half: Paul Mesner, Frogtown Mountain Jon Ludwig's Duke Ellington show, and Luman Coad's dinosaur show were among the winners 2007 1 family show and 3 adult shows 2006 2 family shows and 1 adult show Over the history of citations who won the most? Luman Coad, Jon Ludwig, and Paul Vincent-Davis the vast majority of that work being work for family and childrens audiences. And by the way the Encyclopedia has articles on Coad Canada and Paul Vincent-Davis. Jon Ludwig's work is mentioned under the Center for Puppetry Arts _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
