I do the same complete physical & vocal warm-up that I would for a 
regular acting gig, plus a bit of idiotic free-form dancing 
backstage.  About the last five minutes I just focus on relaxing, 
clearing the brain, and in one way or another feeling the presence of 
the audience - depending on the circumstance that may be mingling out 
front or watching them from backstage or just listening.

That is, unless - as happened today in our TEMPEST tour, ten minutes 
beforehand, you discover that the dip switches got reset and dimmer 
11 is operating channels 9, 14, and 22.  In that case, Prospero calls 
his handy-dandy wife to DO SOMETHING! and then stumbles onstage to 
plunk his magic twanger.
